Count Zero

Count Zero

Count Zero has lived in 27 countries; he is, in essence, the penultimate “Nowhere Man”. Or as David Byrne put it so aptly, “got three passports, couple of visas and I don’t even know my name.” He was in the world’s “hot-spots” before they became household names on the evening news. The striking feature everywhere was a type of music, a sound, if you will, that was very diverse and yet uniquely similar whether you were in a bombed-out café in Beirut or a chi-chi lounge in Paris. It is of an attitude, a point of view, where you can relax and yet contemplate world and personal affairs, but especially come to a better understanding of yourself and how it all comes together for all of us sharing this particular mindset.

This introductory and extended double-set emphasizes the obvious concept of “They’ve given you a number and taken away your name.”
